As several North European kids speak Spanish, it makes the entry into the schools system sensitive; it can mean it will take a while for a kid to adapt. It is extraordinary how quick children master a new language.
In fact, timing has a great part to play while it comes to place children into normal Spanish schools. Undoubtedly, the younger children the easier it is for them to absorb Spanish and get to grips with Spanish education and academic work. A much greater difficulty is faced by older kids as experience has shown there is an age when children find it impossible to study a new language and cope with the requirements of increasingly complicated work. Essentially, the risk time for moving children into Spanish schools is when they are about 12 - 13 years old.
